MURRIETA, CA - Jeremy Stenberg, winner of the X-Games Moto X Best Trick competition, used his newfound fame and financial windfall to buy his mother, Dorothy, a new house this week. He then moved into his mom's new basement. "I always wanted to do something nice for Mom, because she's always been there for me," Stenberg said. "Plus, the old basement was getting kind of cramped. I needed a little more space."

In winning the Moto X Best Trick title -- his first career X-Games gold -- Stenberg completed a no-footed backflip to one-handed lander on his first run for a winning score of 92.20. Whatever the hell that means.

"I really appreciated the gesture from Jeremy," Dorothy Stenberg said. "He's such a sweet boy. I do wonder why, if he's got enough money to buy me a house, he doesn't get himself an apartment. Not that I don't love him, but, I've got stuff I could use that basement for. And he's 23."

"Man, this is gonna be sweet," Stenberg said. "I'm gonna get a plasma screen, a PlayStation, some awesome DVDs, a kick-ass sound system... this is gonna be the best Mom's basement a bike rider ever lived in."
