Fans try to catch a glimpse of alleged rapist Kobe Bryant
EAGLE, CO - The seven-minute hearing during which Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was advised of the felony sexual assault charges against him drew hundreds of fans of alleged rape to the Eagle County, Colorado court house this week.

Eagle County district attorney Mark Hurlbert said that he was glad the throngs who turned out were there to support alleged rape, and not to support Bryant himself.

"As far as the general public is concerned, none of them know anything about what happened the night of the alleged crime," Hurlbert said. "So, since it's crazy to think that throngs of people would turn out to 'support' Kobe Bryant when he may well have raped a 19-year-old, we have to assume that these people are just big fans of alleged rape, because the fact that rape has been alleged is really the only thing that anybody outside of Kobe, his accuser, his lawyers and the Eagle County District Attorney's office could possibly know for sure."

"Wooo, alleged rape!" shouted Quentin Driggs, 25, who made the drive from Colorado Springs, CO to see Kobe Bryant in person. "I obviously will have to wait until the trial, until I hear actual evidence, to decide whether I think Kobe is guilty or innocent," Driggs told reporters. "It wouldn't be fair to either him or the young woman if I took sides at this point. I mean, he sure seems like a nice guy, but I don't know him at all. What I do know, though, is that right now at least, he's an alleged rapist, and it's as a fan of alleged rape that I'm out here today to see him."
